Dumas Therapy is a leading provider of continuing education courses.  Our goal is to provide quality continuing education classes for medical professionals.  We aim to bridge the gap between traditional and alternative rehabilitation treatments for optimal patient outcomes. Massage is an alternative therapy technique important to managing muscle tone and alleviating pain. Soft tissue mobilization is a key aspect to increasing range of motion. Our courses are uniquely designed to give insight into the benefits of massage therapy. In addition to continuing education courses, Dumas Therapy provides school based therapy, in home therapy, and consultative services for patient care.

Mrs. Harriett Walker Dumas, OTR/L, CMT, CNMT, is President of Dumas Therapy and is a graduate of Tuskegee University with a BS degree in occupational therapy. She furthered her education in a two year healthcare professionals massage therapy program at New Life Institute (currently Rising Star Institute) in Atlanta, Georgia. She became a certified massage therapist and neuromuscular therapist in 1998. Mrs. Dumas has successfully incorporated massage as a modality with occupational therapy in the rehab, acute, sub-acute and pediatric settings for over ten years. She has owned and operated two therapy facilities incorporating massage and manual therapies daily. Mrs. Dumas is an experienced continuing education facilitator since 2001 as she traveled and taught the class “Incorporating Massage Therapy into Patient Treatment Plans for arthritis, spasticity reduction, muscle sprain/strain, bursitis, edema management, low back pain, and fibromyalgia.”
